This dynamic neighborhood is populated with independent clothing and
furniture boutiques, vintage shops, tattoo parlors, coffee houses and some
of the city's greatest restaurants. This is also the home to the original
Rudy’s Barbershop and headquarters to independent coffee roasters
such as Caffe Vita and Vivace. The recently opened Retrofit store leads the
pace in chic new furnishings and home accessories. Some larger retailers
have entered the mix in recent years, such as QFC, Bartells, Madison Market,
and Trader Joe’s.
